Fits 1969 912' Directly, Pre 69 912' and 356' Require the larger mount (shown above).  All cars require the uprated power cable from the alternator to the starter, and 356's require the 6v to 12v conversion. 

Designed and manufactured from billet in house from WOSP, these super-efficient units are based around the latest generation of alternator technology.

These race proven compact alternators offer the best size and power / weight ratio available and at far lower RPM than alternatives due to their patented design which enables them to offer up to 80% of maximum output at average idle speeds catering for the large electrical loads usually found at this time. 

Classic Retrofit's upgraded high-output alternator for classic Porsche 912 has been tested at 175 amps on the standard 912 pulley and belt and with a simple installation process. This UK-manufactured upgrade is the highest output alternator available for your classic Porsche 912 and 356.  The idle output is in excess of 60A!

This is a brand new unit, not rewound or reconditioned and there is no core charge or exchange.  Based on the proven Denso 6 phase 'hairpin' alternator, the casing has been custom designed to 912 fan housing late 1969, and with the use of the PRS356 Bracket 356s and earlier 912s.  The alternator offers superior efficiency and produces less heat than the original units. 

With so many electrical upgrades pushing old-school charging technology to the limit, Classic Retrofit's upgraded alternator for classic Porsche 912 and 356 is the perfect addition to a modern-day classic.

Used in conjunction with our electric A/C, this internally regulated alternator offers higher levels of cooling without compromising battery voltage. This may not sound like much, but it is huge in voltage terms: even half a volt can transform headlamp brightness, starter efficiency and battery health. For cars running additional electrical items such as in car entertainment and additional lighting, this is a game changer. 

All of our alternators come complete with heavy duty cables with hydraulic crimped terminals. These MUST be fitted.
