The summer of 2026 has been incredible, not only for the wonderful weather but also thanks to record sales of Porsche AND Defender A/C systems to  customers across the world - and that's down to you, our customers and supporters.

A sincere thank you to you all from us all at Classic Retrofit.

It hasn't come without challenges though.

Owing to the high demand for A/C systems, coupled with interruptions to supply of stock that are out of our control (due to 'global issues') our lead times for A/C systems have sometimes crept over the expected four weeks. We apologise to anyone who has been affected, and thank them for their patience. 

We've also launched our first ever non-Porsche based system which has been a huge project but equally a huge success with many systems sold and shipped globally, with our first customer giving it a 5 star review!

In order to get back on track we're all taking a week off (yay!), sadly nowhere sunny or exotic (boo!), just a week away from answering the phone and emails, and from shipping orders.

This will give us much needed breathing space to execute a full stock take and to update our systems to cope with the increased demand for our products. 

What this means to you: 

31st of August - UK National Holiday: CRF CLOSED

1st-4th of September: CRF SUMMER SHUTDOWN / CLOSED

All A/C system orders placed between the 3rd of August until the 14th of September WILL BE ON A FIVE WEEK LEAD TIME to take into account the Summer Shutdown. 

Our web store will remain open for orders during the shutdown period, but we will not ship anything in the week 31st August to the 4th September. Please expect non long lead time orders to be shipped the following week commencing the 7th of September.
